I hate texting! I get seriously upset when I see people texting and driving. If you want to die, that’s fine with me. But if you hurt or, god forbid, kill someone I love while sending a “LMAO” message, I will guarantee you that the rest of your life will be a living hell.
Last weekend at Northpark Mall, I saw a head-on texting collision. I watched as two teenage girls, heads down, walked straight into each other. Hilarious. They both went flying. But an amazing thing happened. Despite being knocking to the ground, neither girl lost their grip on their cellphone. Hillarious. They got up and kept going. (I guess head-on texting collisions are a common practice amongst teens these days.) Nothing was said. Funny thing is, they hadn’t walked five steps before they were texting again.
It’s called social media, but ignoring people around you while you type with your thumb is anything but social, in my opinion…
